Holiday practicing
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! My holidays were fun because I went to see family here in Saskatchewan. As I encouraged my own children to practice again, I realized that getting back into it isn't always easy. Take your time, but try to play a bit everyday. There may be some questions about one of the pieces. There is a new musical symbol in the song. Don't pay attention to it at this moment, we'll get to this eventually. In the mean time keep "handling" the notes on the Grand staff. Play the songs, and play the game. Most of all, have fun making music!

Recital
I am so pleased with how the recital went. Thank you all for coming and making it a memorable event. Recitals give children skills that actually have nothing to do with music! Preparation, confidence, composure in public, are all things that have to be taught by doing not listening. Great job everyone. Enjoy the holidays, listen to some cool Christmas tunes and have a Merry Christmas.

In Motion
I've begun my journey into the web! I hope that this site will enhance your music experience. I plan to review each lesson by Wednesday of each week to explain in greater detail the last music lesson. Let me know your comments.
I'm excited for the recital on Saturday at 1 p.m. sharp! The students are going to be great. Parents, you should be proud of both your child and yourself. Look at what you can do in only 4 months. See you at the lesson on Thursday. Happy Holidays!
